                                       Scales are updated and you will play 3 scales and chromatic for auditions!!!

​Dear Region 16 Middle School directors
 
Hope your fall has gone well.  I know you are eagerly awaiting information about the MS Honor Band Auditions, so here it is!!!
 
The Audition date is November 16th, at Hale Center High School.  The judges meeting will be at 9:30 a.m.  The tryouts will begin at 10:00 p.m.    Remember that you must be a member of both TMEA & ATSSB.

The Audition will consist of playing 3 scales, chromatic and cuts from both etudes

Audition material is posted on the ATSSB Region 16 web site and cuts will be posted at 7:00 pm Tuesday, Nov 14th.
 
Percussion will audition on Snare, Mallets and Tympani.         
Types of percussion we will provide in the audition room:


 All other instruments will try out on cuts from the etudes, three scales and chromatic scale

The entry fee is $14.00 per student.  There will be an additional $10.00 fee if the student makes the band.   This will help me put together judging panels.      All entries will be done online.     Be sure and enter your students in the correct band.  Make your check payable to ATSSB Region 16.
